The Dutch tourism office Friesland Holland is undeniably the number one in Europe in the field of sailing and bicycling holidays. The basis of this success is the path the office has taken: To offer self-developed and tested full-service holidays filled with many worry-free and enjoyable experiences.

Rent a Cruiser is specialised in renting out rigorously selected motor and sailing yachts that do not require a navigation certificate, and all this in accordance with the full-service principle unique in the field of yacht rentals. This specialisation means that you will receive a yacht, equipment, and a service that guarantee the most beautiful and varied sailing and bicycling holiday.

We have a suitable boat for any age and interest group. A new addition to our program consists of motor yachts specifically outfitted for families with (small) children and discovery cruisers, luxurious low-built motor yachts that can tackle almost any bridge.

Rent a Cruiser offers very comprehensive sailing holidays at very competitive rates, using the better vessels in the Dutch fleet. Almost all Rent a Cruiser yachts have been built by a Dutch boatyard. The motor yachts are made of steel, the sailing yachts of polyester.

No lugging around of duvets or sleeping bags, or cleanup at the end of the rental period (in the case of packages) at Rent a Cruiser. The Rent a Cruiser package entails by default options and services that you will need in any case at departure or that you would prefer to have during the trip. Furthermore, a Rent a Cruiser travel package also comprises aspects that would initially not come to mind, aspects that are essential to a proper preparation.

Unique Boat Equipment
The Rent a Cruiser boat equipment is unique. The cabins in the boat have been furnished as guestrooms. Consequently, they come with bed linen, towels, and bath towels. Almost all motor yachts have a shower, a lavatory, and a kitchen that could equal the one at home. Royal Class Yachts even have cabins with individual showers and lavatories.

No navigation certificate? No experience? No problem!
You do not require a navigation certificate. We will teach those who do not know how to sail. We have special instructors for that purpose.

Motor Yacht Sailing Course
A motor yacht sailing course lasts 4 to 8 hours. The course costs 175 and 300 euros respectively, and the course is given on the yacht that you rented.

Sailing Course
A crash course in sailing takes one day, sometimes two days. The course costs 150 and 300 euros respectively, and the course is given on the yacht that you rented. The prices for these crash courses in sailing are included in the package prices.

The Fleet
Our fleet is as varied as our sailing holidays. Rent a Cruiser collaborates closely with the yacht rental agencies of Friesland Holland, the owners of the selected boats. The specialists of Rent a Cruiser have divided the yachts, which they have meticulously inspected and photographed, into categories in function of type, size, purpose, equipment, and workmanship. Each category is suited for specific cruising grounds and sailing routes, which is demonstrated for instance by the cruise trips developed specifically for the renters.
